What pieces of equipment do I need to begin learning yoga?
There are only a few items that are needed to begin practicing yoga. These are: a mat, a block, and a strap. If you begin learning in a studio, with a professional, other props will be available to you as needed. If you are learning at home with a DVD you can purchase additional props, like a wedge or a ball, as your skills advance.
